Triple Divide: Documentary Screening to benefit the Stop the Tennessee Gas Pipeline! Campaign

Join the Stop the Tennessee Gas Pipeline! campaign at the Milford Theater on Saturday, April 27th at 5pm for a barbecue to meet the filmmakers and 6pm for a screening of the new film Triple Divide! Suggested donation is $5-$10, with a 50/50 raffle drawing after the screening. A question and answer period will follow!

Before it gets to Milford and North Jersey, the Tennessee Pipeline stretches its way across Pennsylvania's northern tier where the most dense drilling in the Marcellus Shale is occurring. Gathering pipelines from hydraulically fractured, or "fracked" gas wells hook in along the way.

This film follows a Public Herald, a non-profit investigative journal, as the Public Herald uncovers the impacts of fracking, in exceptional value waters in Pennsylvania at the meeting place of three watersheds, and the response of Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to the threats posed by shale gas development.

This Pennsylvania made film “takes audiences on a cradle-to-grave journey to uncover how DEP and industry have handled violations within Pennsylvania’s highest classified watersheds, what happened in the 20011 Bradford County Blowout, water contamination complaints, health issues, and the split-estate landowner dispute.”

Melissa Troutman and Josh Pribanic provide an excellent investigative journalistic approach to the topic of shale gas with interviews of landowners on the frontline of the national controversy surrounding America's energy future.

The Milford Theater is located at is 114 Catherine St. Milford PA 18337
